My TOP 10 Reasons To Visit Wonderful Worcester

Ok, be honest now. How often have you made holiday plans to stay in Worcester? We’ve driven straight through this historic Breede Valley town a few times, perhaps stopping for a takeaway lunch. Most people are more familiar with well-known winelands areas such as Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

Also known as The Valley of Champions, you may think that this seemingly sleepy region of the Western Cape doesn’t have much to offer, but it’s time to think again. WIN with Come Wine With Us And Durbanville Hills!

I was fortunate to be invited to the FIRST “Come Braai and Wine With Us” in association with Durbanville Hills, Chef Tjaart and WEBER. I had no idea what hubby and I were in for. Let’s just say that the evening was anything BUT your usual food and wine event.

Cellar tours are especially great as you learn more about wine production and you often get to meet the people behind the scenes, not only the cellar masters, but also those that work very hard in the vineyards and cellar so that we can enjoy the fruits of their labour.

Perdeberg Winery – Celebrating Chenin Blancs And Tapas Picnics

Summer time is the perfect season to indulge in long, leisurely picnics with a chilled glass (or three!) of your fave summer wine. Relaxing on a picnic blanket while nibbling on delectable delights and sipping on your favourite tipple is my kind of heaven. Just talking about it makes me want to go out right now and do just that!

I think that most wine lovers have a certain “go-to” drink that they enjoy with a picnic. I know I do. Depending on my mood that day, it could either be a crisp and dry Rosé or a heavenly MCC – bubbles are always a great idea!
