Our favourite gold hippo, Mr. b!, loves to #LiveLarge and is here to remind you that International #ShirazWineDay is being celebrated on 22 July 2021. Now for those of us living in South Africa, there is a pretty good chance that you may have run out of wine (shock! horror!) due to the fourth (or is it the fifth?) alcohol ban.

You don’t need to ask me twice to travel someplace new. Wanderlust has flowed strongly through my veins, long before I even knew what wanderlust meant, or that I was “inflicted” with it. Happily so, I might add. While the ongoing pandemic has restricted our travels to a large extent, many South Africans have taken to exploring their own “backyards” like never before.

Franschhoek Restaurant Recovery Initiative Aims To Help Local Restaurants

Following on the huge success of the Support Stellenbosch Restaurant Campaign initiative, which raised just over R1.7 million for restaurants in the Stellenbosch Winelands, the Franschhoek Wine Valley Tourism organization has jump started something similar.
