Things are definitely hotting up in and around the Mother City. You know summer days are on the way when there are so many different events, markets and festivals happening each weekend. We really are spoilt for choice! It becomes a bit challenging to decide what you actually want to do, not just on weekends but also during the week. Decisions, decisions!
So at the start of the week, I had no real plans for this weekend. Then suddenly, I find myself with tickets and an invite to not one, not two but three events! Whether or not I will make it to all three events remains to be seen – perhaps I can clone myself? Here’s a quick rundown of what I’ll be getting up to this weekend.
SA Cocktail Week – 28 October – 6 Nov 2016
SA Cocktail Week is a unique annual celebration of the vibrant South African cocktail scene! From 28 October to 6 November 2016, the first edition of SA Cocktail Week takes place in Cape Town. The Grand Opening happens at the Cape Quarter on Friday, 28 October from 7pm – 10pm and that’s where I’ll be – have you got your tickets yet? Check out all the event deets and participating bars and hotels at SA Cocktail Week.
Cape Town Flower Show – 27 – 30 October 2016
Where better to celebrate the natural beauty and brilliant diversity of the Cape’s flora then in the centre of Cape Town City at the newly refurbished Castle of Good Hope. Here you will find everything from Show Gardens and High Tea Talks to Workshops and Demos and The Food and Drink Garden. I personally can’t wait to see this historical and beautiful space magically transformed like never before. For all info, check out Cape Town Flower Show.
Season of Sauvignon Festival – 29 and 30 October 2016
Time to celebrate The Season of Sauvignon in the Durbanville Wine Valley! The month long Sauvignon Blanc festivities and celebrations culminate at the Season of Sauvignon festival on 29 and 30 October 2016. There are so many fun activities and events happening at the various participating wine estates so make sure to get all the info at Durbanville Wine Valley.
Whew! It’s going to be a busy but fun weekend 🙂 Let me know what you’re up to and if you’ll be at any of these awesome events. Here’s to an amazing weekend in and around Cape Town. I’ll cheers to that!
